Is there and Army Policy or Reg covering family members in direct COC or NCO support chain?

i have a E-5 team leader in my company who's brother in law is the Division CSM of the division we are in. The team leader was brought to this unit our of basic when the CSM was just our BDE CSM. It is not a huge problem but i believe he is getting some special treatment, was just wondering what the army policy is if there is one?
