Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Hypocritical on free speech?

I don't understand why Ahmadinejad is here speaking at one of our American universities. Who invited him? Does he think he will be able to influence the students to his way of thinking? Freedom of speech is an American right. He is not an American.
